A match made in workout heaven.

When a leading athletic apparel company passionate about function-led design partners with an influential retailer that turns high-end fashion into everyday wear, one expects impressive results. Yet the lululemon x Roden Gray collab surpasses even already high expectations with its flawless blend of urban style, function, and innovative technical features. Vancouver-based lululemon partnered with Roden Gray for its latest collection, to the delight of design lovers with active lifestyles. The collaboration also marks Roden Gray’s first out of seven special edition collections created with select brands, to celebrate its end of 2017 10th anniversary.

Designed to look like sophisticated streetwear but also to withstand heavy and frequent use, the military-inspired lululemon x Roden Gray collection features seven pieces that combine utilitarian design, fashion, and comfort. Making working out as stylish and as efficient as possible at the same time. Fusing military features that include stiff cotton drawcord and webbing, the garments also boast convenient elements such as four-way stretch fabrics and sweat-wicking materials. A custom artwork connects all of the seven pieces. The black reflective “LXRG-9807” detail references the brands’ names as well as the year they were founded – lululemon in 1998 and Roden Gray in 2007.

Working out in style and complete comfort.

Made with a four-way stretch, soft, and quick-drying Interesc fabric, the high-performance long-sleeve and short-sleeve tees also feature a mesh fabric on the back for optimal ventilation and gussets under the arm for extra mobility. The jacket and hoodie stand out thanks to their practical features. The former offers a modern twist on the classic bomber jacket; it comes with a water-repellent fabric and a Primaloft® insulation that provides lightweight warmth, while inner straps allow the user to wear the jacket like a backpack when needing to cool off. Apart from its sweat-wicking and breathatble Tech Fleece fabric that has a convenient four-way stretch, the hoodie also comes with handy pockets for essentials and a smartphone.

Perfect for both hiking on rough terrain or working out in the gym, the pant, tight, and short blend durable fabrics and technical details. The pant and short feature the Swift water-repellent fabric and secure pockets, while the ¾-length tight boasts reflective artwork on the back of the legs, as well as a Full-On® Luxtreme material with mesh panels to keep the user comfortable and cool and thus make it easier to beat personal records.

To maintain the clean, minimalist aesthetic, the seven-item range features only three colorways: Heather Black, Black, and Dark Olive. This exclusive collection will be available online as well as in select lululemon stores worldwide starting from February 8, 2018.
