We are ringing in spring with these gorgeous illustrations by Dutch Art Director and Graphic Designer Remko Heemskerk. After only a brief period living in New York in 2012 and 2013, Heemskerk was inspired to create this series that highlights some of the city’s most iconic landmarks and neighborhoods, from Greenwich Village to The Empire State building. His bold, graphic style and use of vibrant complementary colors illuminates the magnetism that each building holds; with the fresh colors of a new season, the prints bring to life what are in reality metal and glass facades. Lizzie Wright

Lizzie

Lizzie Wright is an aspiring artist and designer with a passion for the written word. While she works on her BFA in Industrial Design at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), she spends her (rare) spare time riding around Providence on her trusty Cannondale and drinking lots of coffee. She is especially fascinated by the dichotomy between aesthetic form and function, which has an immense influence on her work. As a lover of the natural world, Lizzie plans to focus on Nature, Culture, and Sustainability Studies to pursue a more efficient future for design. Read more by visiting her website
