Venezia Leather Lounge Chair

An elegant leather lounge chair design reminiscent of a gently swaying gondola.

Originally created for the Venice Architecture Biennale, the refined Venezia Lounge Chair made waves in 2014. Designed by Paris-based Marco Lavit, architect and co-founder of Atelier LAVIT, the leather lounge chair features elegant lines that remind of the gentle movement of gondolas, slowly drifting on Venice’s canals. Function as well as aesthetic value become the crucial elements of the stylish design. Exquisite materials lend the lounge chair a premium look and feel, while expert craftsmanship truly brings the designer’s vision to life.

Made with black leather and iron, the lounge chair has an unmistakable classic look. At the same time, the sharp angles along with the graceful curves make the design look distinctly contemporary. After wooing Biennale visitors, the chair also appeared in exhibitions around Europe. More notably, at Centre Pompidou in Paris, as part of a retrospective on Le Corbusier. The designer was also recently included in the list of “Rising Talent Awards” at Maison & Objet Paris, with the jury remarking on the character and design of the Venezia Lounge Chair. This year, the event will take place between January 19-23, 2018. Photographs© Atelier LAVIT.
