Wesley Knight Eyewear: Creativity Meets Passion

View all 7 Photos

For Wesley Knight, a college assignment turned out to be the harbinger of change to pursue his dream career, celebrating his passion for artisan craft. Taking inspiration from his thesis that soon turned into a passion project, the 25-year-old bespoke eyewear maker finally launched his Wesley Knight Bespoke business in 2013.
His college thesis project in 2010 was one such catalyst that gave wings to his dreams and encouraged him to step into his dream career. The project was all about creating a pair of bespoke frames. Here began his research into the distinctive bespoke process and the end product was a laughable pair of glasses, designed using only the dremel tool, encouraging him to search the expansive realm of bespoke eyeglass making.

This laid the foundation for the beginning of a pioneering venture that would later be named as Wesley Knight Bespoke. Wesley’s has always had particular interest in the craft of working with horn for its individual character and luxuriousness, and he used his curiosity to explore it further.
What makes Wesley Knight eyewear unique is the highly personalized and intimate process that goes into the making of each pair, with face-to-face fitting of the client noting every single detail, from height of the ears to width of the head to depth from eyes to ears.

With a focus to design a functional and beautiful product, the “relation making” design process also takes note of the physical attributes of the client, such as their skin tone and eye and hair color, as well as their personal style and activities they’ll be indulging in while wearing the eyewear.
If you wish to have one such bespoke pair designed for you, don’t lose heart if it takes four to six months for completion!
