The Zeitgeist Aquaholic Watch

A timely tribute to the sea.

The team behind independent wristwatch brand Zeitgeist Denmark believes that “a good timepiece should be thoughtful and tell an authentic story.” The new Zeitgeist Aquaholic Watch showcases this beautifully. Created as a love letter to the sea and to the rugged landscapes of Danish coastlines, the timepiece features a creative and refined design. The dial draws inspiration from industrial depth gauges. It features luminous white hands as well as white indices against a deep blue backdrop.

One of the tallest crystals in the industry adorns the front of the watch, reaching 7 mm in height. The acrylic crystal may be less scratch-resistant than sapphire, but that is the point. With use, the acrylic will show the signs of a life well lived, gaining more character. The case measures 43mm in diameter. It features a sandblasted finish to reference a pebble smoothed out by the sea over millennia.

Developed by Zeitgeist Denmark, the innovative Monodial enhances the precision of the watch further. The ingenious build and materials ensure that the watch is tough and durable but lightweight. Made of anodized aluminum, the dial will age with grace, making the indices look even sharper over time. Thanks to the Monodial build, the brand reduced the number of fragile parts to make the timepiece easier to assemble and to repair.

The back case boasts a sapphire crystal that offers a clear view of the Swiss ETA 2892A2 movement. Fittingly, Zeitgeist Aquaholic can go deeper than your average wristwatch, allowing the user to dive to 10ATM. For the perfect finishing touch, the brand crafted the straps with Icelandic salmon skin and cow leather.
