A little background into the product and company name CLOSCA speaks volumes about the design concept and purpose. With a literal translation to “turtle,” CLOSCA is a new type of bicycle helmet that embodies the turtle’s ability to hide within its shell. The telescoping helmet is a fashion-forward piece for urban cyclists, and is driven by both an outcry against a typical helmet’s inconvenience post-biking and the unflattering appearance of a clunky piece of headgear. CLOSCA folds down to 50% of its initial size through its unique design, and the helmets are modeled after the latest hat trends. Whether a duckbill or flatcap suits your fancy, or whether plaid print or a denim fabric matches your outfit, CLOSCA offers the safety of a helmet in the disguise of a hat. These helmets have been tried and true against Europe’s safety standards, so all you have to worry about is which variety will go best with the rest of your biking gear. CLOSCA has recently launched a Kickstarter in order to introduce style to safety.
