Cole Haan Style Meets Mountain Hardwear Technology

View all 11 Photos

Perfect for adventurers who also love good design, the new GrandExpløre collection brings a touch of Cole Haan style to mountain tops. Created in a collaboration with renowned outdoor apparel and equipment brand Mountain Hardwear, the range combines classic design and state-of-the-art engineering.

The GrandExpløre Alpine Hiker takes inspiration from traditional hiking boots, updating the style for modern explorers. Equally at home on steep slopes and busy streets, the boot boasts a premium waterproof leather and suede upper and a brass back clip that references metal crampons used by alpinists. It also features the Grand.ØS technology that combines lightweight and breathable materials with flexibility and cushioning for more comfort. The EVA midsole and outsole offer superior traction as well as more durability.

An essential item for winter weather, the GrandExpløre Parka integrates the proprietary Q.Shield™ Down technology to provide protection even in extreme temperatures. The stylish parka comes with an adjustable hood with removable faux-fur lining, exterior and interior zippered pockets, and cleverly engineered ventilation for extra comfort. You can find the boot and parka on the Cole Haan site; the former costs $350, while the latter has a $700 price tag.
