Alex Gabriels

Alex Gabriels is a Belgium-based art director, artist, and ceramicist. From childhood, her mother instilled in her a love of ceramics and a deep appreciation for handmade objects. After working for years as an art director in the advertising industry, Alex Gabriels decided to go back to school and study ceramics. She first studied artistic ceramics before focusing more on functional ceramics. The need to build a new house for her family inspired her to design her own workshop at home. There, Alex Gabriels creates beautiful handmade ceramics that range from bowls and plates to coffee and tea serving sets. Practical and decorative at the same time, her designs transform an ancient tradition into functional art.
