After studying interior design in Australia from 1990 to 1994, Andrew Trotter returned to the UK, where he started working with design and fashion studios. In 2010, he opened Openhouse in Barcelona as a design store and launched Openhouse Magazine in 2014. In 2012, Andrew Trotter established his own eponymous studio. The firm completes a wide range of projects. These include architecture and interior design as well as product design and landscaping. One of the firm's most notable projects is Masseria Moroseta hotel in Puglia, Italy. The retreat features a modern farmhouse design that celebrates the local context via vernacular architecture details and traditional building methods. Andrew Trotter currently divides his time between his architectural practice, being a creative director for skincare brand Alex Carro, and running Openhouse Magazine.
