Julie Hong

Born in Seoul, designer Julie Hong moved to the US as a teenager. This life-changing event led Hong to use her observational and analytical skills to adapt to a completely new environment, which also influenced her design approach. Believing that design can give meaning as well as a playful twist to the ordinary, Julie Hong continuously refines her work to create the right balance between material, form, and function. Her furniture and lighting designs have clean lines and a minimalist aesthetic, with subtle creative accents making simple, everyday objects stand out in contemporary interiors.
