Born in 1976 in Venice, Luca Nichetto studied industrial design at Iuav University of Venice. After his graduation, he worked in Murano glassmaking and then lighting design before founding his eponymous studio in 2006. The designer moved to Stockholm in 2011 and opened his second studio. Influenced by both Italian and Nordic design culture, Nichetto Studio works with international brands and clients on an array of projects, ranging from product design and design consultancy to interior design and architecture. Apart from his design work, Luca Nichetto has also lectured, held workshops, and served as a juror in international design competitions. His work has received many awards; they include the Chicago Atheneum Museum of Architecture's Good Design Award and the IF Product Design Award. The designer has exhibited his work worldwide, with retrospective shows held in Venice, London, and Paris.
