Mark Power

Born 1959 in Hertfordshire, UK, Mark Power studied life-drawing and painting at Brighton Polytechnic before embarking on a two-year trip in Australia and South-East Asia. During his travels, Mark Power realized he loved working behind a camera more than using a paintbrush or pencil. He became a professional photographer upon his return to the UK in 1983. Mark Power joined the prestigious Magnum Photos in 2002, becoming a full member in 2007. He has published ten books, including the Good Morning, America series. The photographer’s work has been exhibited in art galleries and museums throughout the world and has been included in the collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum, the British Council, the Arts Council of England, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and Marrakech Museum for Photography and Visual Arts.
