Dialogue House by Wendell Burnette Architects

In the Pheonix Mountains, at the base of Echo Mountain, rests the Dialogue House by Wendell Burnette Architects: a strictly squared home chiseled into a grid-like living space. Towering outdoor hallways send you into the open as if you are emerging from a tunnel or another secret place. The interior is so simple all white and clean in geometric design with a grand room that exposes the entire side thanks to a wall of windows. A flood of natural light pierces through the home reflecting against the shiny tile floors. Inspired by John Van Dyke’s ‘colored air’ and ‘reflected light’ in his 1901 book titled ‘The Desert – Further Studies in Natural Appearances.’
