DF_DC

DF_DC is a firm specializing in architecture and urban design that operates out of both London and Lugano. It was founded in 2018 by Dari Franch and Dago Caldaran. The practice's work involves creating buildings, places, and spaces for various industries and sectors. This is achieved through the use of a simple and structural language that focuses on the relationship between structure and function. The approach taken by DF_DC is highly collaborative, with established strategies in place to work with other practices from conception to completion. This has led to the creation of a network of international contacts, including two studio locations, overseas work, and academic endeavors. As a result, the practice has completed a diverse range of projects, from private houses to public spaces and master-plans. Recent achievements by DF_DC include being selected for the Best Architects Award for both 2022 and 2023, as well as receiving a Mention of Honor at the 2020 Jalsco Architecture Biennial.
