New Volumes Collection by Artedomus

A beautifully designed collection of products crafted from Elba stone.

Australian furniture brand and natural stone supplier Artedomus has recently launched a new collection. Named New Volumes, the series features home and office products in different collections that each explore the possibilities of a single natural material. The inaugural range celebrates the beauty of Elba stone, a fine Dolomite that has the refinement of marble but surpasses it in hardness and durability. Collection 01 – Elba features 12 products created by eight designers.

While they share a minimalist aesthetic that puts the features of Elba stone in the best light, the items vary widely. They include cantilevered tables with round or rectangular tops and candle holders as well as a vase, planter, and sculpture. The designers followed Artedomus’ brief, that allowed for “pure expression” and exploration of form.

Each item from the collection is made with Elba marble sourced from a family-run quarry in Greece. Produced in limited quantities, this natural stone becomes a valuable raw material that is both hard-wearing and delicately beautiful. Compared to most types of marble, Elba stone has a more opaque surface and a subtle luster. Finished by hand, there contemporary artifacts inspire the everyday. And like the best designs, they’ll also stand the test of time. The New Volumes Collection 01 – Elba series is available now, exclusively through Artedomus. Photographs© Artedomus.
