Talk about a statement piece! The Etna Candle holders collection produced by Woodendot is a honorable collaboration between Daniel García Studio in Madrid and María J. Vargas. Pronouncing attention, their countenance demands our respect. Tall and strong or stout and happy, with a sweep of color draped at the neckline, the design effortlessly takes charge of a space with the assistance of a humble tea light. Beautifully crafted of local solid pine in Northern Spain by the Tierra de Pinares. Designer María gives her take on the project, “Wood has a history, every piece is different, every piece was one alive. I think there is an emotional link with wooden products.”

I find a way to fearlessly provoke your senses and take you by the heart to whatever it is I’m writing about. My sweet spot is creative writing, but for the last 20 years I have been providing freelance content for publications on sustainability and green practices, design, architecture, fashion, and non-profit charity. Recently all wrapped up in producing my first book. I have bounced from NYC to Indianapolis, but my true home is a lovely small town in Central Pennsylvania where there’s a legit drive-your-tractor-to-school-day.
