Inspired by nature and sustainability, Cornwall, UK-based company Clayworks makes 100% natural clay plasters that enrich interiors in more ways than one.

In architecture and interior design, small details and quality finishes can significantly enhance the overall design, whether it’s sculptural wall hooks or a wall texture. Founded by earth building specialists Adam Weismann and Katy Bryce, UK-based company Clayworks offers an incredible range of clay plasters that not only supplement an interior’s material palette with stunning textures and earthy colors, but also magnify and enrich the design concept of any space. Inspired by nature and sustainability, Clayworks produces only 100% natural plasters that are eco-friendly, toxin-absorbing, and breathable.

Introducing Clayworks - Gessato

Manufactured locally from natural raw materials, the company’s clay plasters feature proprietary blends of unfired clay mixed with minerals and natural pigments. These environmentally-conscious products are not only healthy, improving indoor air quality by regulating humidity and absorbing odors and toxins, they’re also completely recyclable, reusable, or compostable. Additionally, Clayworks clay plasters let the walls breathe and provide noise insulation. Easy to repair if and when needed, these plasters require the same tools as standard plasters.

Stunning textures and colors that complement and enhance any space.

While the Clayworks clay plasters have a low carbon footprint, they add maximum visual impact to a home or office décor. The brand’s collection includes earthy hues that warm up any space; eye-catching textures that add a rustic flavor to interiors; or perfectly smooth clay plasters that subtly enhance their surroundings, complementing the room’s color palette. The core collection comprises 88 colors and 4 textures, but Clayworks also offers custom plasters with distinctive textures, patterns and bespoke colors.

Made using a blend of ancient techniques and modern technology, the Clayworks clay plasters provide a green way to finish interiors to an impressive standard. Safe to say, they’re a perfect choice for sustainable architecture projects and eco-conscious homes or commercial and office spaces. Gorgeous and incredibly varied, these plasters are also created with well-being in mind – that of the inhabitants and of our home, Earth. Photography © Edmund Sumner.
