Even Yehuda House

View all 21 Photos

Located in Even Yehuda, Israel, House N is a modern styled simplistic residence that sits behind a brick wall shaped like a vernacular house with a chimney. Architects Oded Stern-Meiraz and Sharon Neuman were inspired by the work of minimalist artist Walter De Maria, his gothic styled drawing that shows a basic one line-2 dimensional house, almost as if it was drawn by a child. A wooden bridge connects the building’s top floor with a balcony that cantilevers through the grey painted wall, a recessed door underneath the balcony leads through to an entrance to the courtyard behind where there’s an outdoor fireplace and barbeque space. There are three floors inside the house, the basement with a shelter, a cinema and a playroom, the first floor has a lounge, kitchen and a TV room, and the second floor has the main bedroom suite, children rooms and work areas.
