Fionda, Folding Deck Chair by Jasper Morrison

View all 9 Photos

If anyone needs me I’ll be in the deck with my iced tea and the breeze in my favorite chair under my favorite tree.
Fionda in Italian means sling, as for the chill design of these lounge chairs by London’s Jasper Morrison. Made for casual gatherings inside or out, the wooden frame mimics our old camping chairs that had an aluminum x base.   They are a fresh look with preppy fabrics, practically stackable and accompanied by a stackable table. It’s simple concept assembles a calm, peaceful atmosphere. Created for Mattiazzi, brand detail marked on the inner leg.
In the artist’s own words,”I am attracted to the language of camping and campaign furniture. It’s something about the lightness of structure and required efficiency in achieving something comfortable.”
