Fritz Hansen and Han Kjøbenhavn Installation

View all 4 Photos

In homage to Arne Jacobsen’s 1957 Grand Prix chair, furniture brand Fritz Hansen and fashion label Han Kjøbenhavn teamed up to produce a unique line of Jacobsen-inspired objects. They designed a contemporary version of the Grand Prix Chair with a woven seat and a Y-shaped back made of black steel. They also created a pair of sunglasses and a leather jacket, both made of leather salvaged from Jacobsen’s studio. The pieces they used came from the production of the iconic Egg and Swan chairs. In the USA, the chairs are on view exclusively at Need Supply Co. on Friday, August 1st from 7-9 pm.
