Crosson Clarke Carnachan Architects have enabled life in a glass house that withstands even the strictest scrutiny. The eco-friendly home, built on New Zealand’s Great Barrier Island, makes use of and aids the environment. While the surrounding Puriri trees provide semi-open bedrooms with privacy, the building itself actually protects existing vegetation. The lucky residents enjoy baths heated by the sun and guilt-free, minimal-impact use of electronics.
