A custom Yamaha DT50MX cleaned up nicely by the work of Håkan Persson calling it Cocaine White since it’s fast and white. You know the saying it takes a village to raise a child, well in the course of this bike’s makeover it was a bit of this and a bit of that from here and there that came together to make the sleek finished product. The headlight was salvaged from his dad’s retired Fiat 125; the seat reconstruction started with half of a broken skateboard he had on hand that mum upholstered; got ahold of the back tire and handlebars from old friend; the petrol tank is from a ‘Crescent 1209′, and the go is from a 50cc engine with 5,5hk.  Håkan lives for these side bike projects, “At daytime I’m running a design agency called ‘Kollor Design Agency’ here in Sweden and on my spare time I build and restore Italian sports cars, mainly Alfa Romeo’s . This is my second attempt to build a bike. I’ve actually not been in contact with bikes at all before but a friend of mine kind of pushed me into trying one of his. After my first project which was a modified ‘Ciao Bravo’ I got hooked.”

I find a way to fearlessly provoke your senses and take you by the heart to whatever it is I’m writing about. My sweet spot is creative writing, but for the last 20 years I have been providing freelance content for publications on sustainability and green practices, design, architecture, fashion, and non-profit charity. Recently all wrapped up in producing my first book. I have bounced from NYC to Indianapolis, but my true home is a lovely small town in Central Pennsylvania where there’s a legit drive-your-tractor-to-school-day.
