A sculptural cabinet that celebrates the rhythm and vibrancy of traditional Indian dances.

What if ordinary furniture and home accessories could look like works of art? High-end design brand Scarlet Splendour provides the answer to this question. Founded by siblings Ashish Bajoria and Suman Kanodia in 2014, the company collaborates with contemporary designers to make opulent furniture, accessories, and lighting with a creative twist. Part of the 2020 Scarlet Scenes collection, iDanzatori by Italian designer Elena Salmistraro is as bold and it is colorful.

While Scarlet Scenes celebrates craftsmanship and artisanal skill, it features products that radiate movie star glamor and avant-garde modernism. Inspired by traditional Indian dances, the Chhau Donna cabinet pays homage to the grandeur and vibrancy of Chhau dancers’ costumes. It features a sculptural design paired with a colorful palette and intricate details. Beautifully handcrafted, the cabinet looks like a bold work of art but it is also a functional piece of furniture. It features several shelves in the interior which boasts the same striking forms and colors of the exterior.

Made from plywood and nautical resin, the cabinet has both matte and gloss finishes. The high-quality build makes the iDanzatori collection ideal for either residential or hospitality settings. The Scarlet Scenes range also includes a furniture line designed by Marcantonio. Other products include designs by Matteo Cibic, Richard Hutten, and Nika Zupanc as well as Artefatto Design Studio.
