Introducing Frank de Paula Coffee

An innovative coffee brewing method, developed in Colombia.

Founded by coffee roaster Luis Fernando Vélez and engineer Eduardo Umaña, Frank de Paula is an independent coffee brand that offers an innovative twist on centuries-old Colombian coffee brewing tradition. Named after national hero Francisco de Paula Santander, who started exporting Colombian coffee in the 1800s, the company has introduced a new way to brew coffee. The FrankOne coffee brewer uses a vacuum system to extract the flavors from the beans while reducing bitterness and acidity.

Developed over the course of two years, the coffee brewing machine features the VacTec™ technology that uses vacuum to pull the water through grounded coffee. And the result? Full-bodied coffee that has an intense flavor with sweet notes and less acidity. This innovative design also shortens the brewing method. To complement FrankOne, the company has launched Las Delicias, a bean to cup coffee from their own farm in Santa Rosa, Guatemala.

Washed, sun-dried, and roasted at the place of origin, the coffee features Bourbon, Catuai, and Caturra bean varieties. They produce coffee with sweet and mellow chocolate notes, a velvety mouthfeel, and subtle citrus aftertaste. The deep, rich body also makes this coffee great with milk. It also suits hot or cold brewing methods. The brand ships batches of freshly roasted coffee every other week, with both ground and whole bean options available.
