Numeroventi

An art residency program in the center of Florence.

Founded by Martino di Napoli Rampolla in Florence Italy, art center Numeroventi continues the city’s Renaissance era tradition of supporting artists and creative pursuits. The residency program offers the opportunity to relax and create in a tranquil space inside the 16th-century Palazzo Galli Tassi. Guests can stay in one of the five studio apartments (soon to be six) located on three floors. Each loft features one-of-a-kind artworks as well as designer furniture and lighting from renowned Danish brand Frama. All of the apartments have their own styles. Loft I, II, and III are more contemporary and boast a Scandinavian-inspired aesthetic with simple furniture, white walls, and pale timber flooring. Loft IV and VI feature historical frescoes on the walls and ceilings that celebrate the palazzo’s past. The largest apartment, Loft IV has a private kitchen and dining space, with ceiling-high windows opening to the inner courtyard.

The residency program welcomes artists, musicians, photographers, directors, academics, and other creatives to take a break and take the time to create in a retreat-like space. At the end of their residency, they can showcase their work in an exhibition and leave one piece for the center’s collection. A strong sense of community and creative collaboration beats at the core of Numeroventi. Those who stay here are encouraged to push their limits and challenge themselves in order to create their best work. Artists in residence can choose their own kind of retreat, whether they prefer to socialize or create in seclusion.

Numeroventi also offers access to studios and work spaces, separate from the lofts. Designed with five-meter tall ceilings, the 16 rooms also have huge windows that flood the interiors with natural light. Finally art, potography, and design lovers can purchase selected pieces from the Numeroventi collection through the official site. Photographs© Numeroventi.
