The British-Made 65th Anniversary Desert Boot

View all 7 Photos

The Clarks Desert Boot is nothing short of iconic; since their release in 1950, the simple suede shoes have become a trusty fashion fallback and a testament to the success of minimal design. To honor the 65th anniversary of what has become a timeless style, Clarks will be making 1,950 pairs of hand-numbered boots — from original sand Cordova Velour 2mm suede supplied by Charles F Stead with the signature orange stitch down detail — right in England. Each “Limited Edition Pack” comes with spare leather laces, hand loomed Lancastrian cotton socks from TRiCKETT, an exclusive crepe suede cleaner, and a print by graphic designer Peter O’Toole. What better way to celebrate decades of excellence in design and craftsmanship? We have no doubt that Nathan Clark would be proud.
