Created by Alegre Design for Actiu, the TNK Flex executive ergonomic desk chair aims to make working at a desk more comfortable. The innovative design has received a prestigious distinction, the German Design Award. The jury panel brings together renowned designers, architects, entrepreneurs and academics, who assess the products following strict criteria. These include design and aesthetics as well as functionality, quality and sustainability, technical quality, ease of use, and more.
Blending high-performance technology and ingenuity, the TNK Flex seating adapts to the needs of the user intuitively. “In a society that is constantly changing and where adaptations must be made in record timing, ergonomic furniture has become a more integrated tool within the current working environment which must facilitate good ergonomic habits. Furniture which adds and does not subtract, which has a positive influence on health, effectiveness and the quality of work undertaken by the user”, says designer Marcelo Alegre.
The chair provides optimal ergonomic performance and features technology used in truck driving seats. It automatically adapts to the movement and the morphology of the user’s body. At the same time, it adjusts the spine for better posture, without the need to push a button. Air chambers integrated in the seat’s foam also adapt to the user’s needs to provide superior comfort and support. And the result? A desk chair that not only offers complete freedom of movement and comfort, but also improves efficiency.
