Stylish, versatile and hi-tech.

Creating an innovative, perfectly balanced product takes hard work and dedication. Something Swedish brand åäö knows all to well. After three years of research and development along with 274 prototypes, the company has designed the ideal pair engineered pants for the modern world. The aptly named ‘Pants’ provide a complete solution for an everyday wardrobe. Their minimalist, chic design looks great anywhere, whether at the office, riding a bike to work, or going to a party. Designed to handle harsh weather conditions and active lifestyles, the pants feature an innovative, hi-tech material with a 4-way stretch.

Made in Switzerland, the fabric is then expertly sewn by hand in Borås, Sweden’s textile capital. The material costs between 15 to 20 times more than standard denim, but it also provides superior performance. Highly breathable and comfortable, this stretchy fabric repels not only water, dirt and mud, but also red wine or olive oil. Of course, the quality rises to one’s high expectations. “Putting the pants to the ultimate test, we took them for a motorbike ride across the US and Europe, all in all over 13,000 kilometers. We wore our first prototype (which [we] have improved considerably since), and they still excelled in everything we put them through – the blazing sun of Arizona as well as pouring rain over the French Alps. That’s when we realized that we had something great going!” says Johan Wellander, founder of åäö.

Apart from their high performance textile, the Pants also feature two hidden front pockets and double piped back pockets. A Japanese zipper completes the minimal design. The Pants come in five colors: Tech Black, Pigeon Perfect Gray, Rainy Day Gray, Brilliant Blue, and Blue Black. All of them available exclusively on the brand’s website, at a price of $320.
