Determined to create products for the conscious customers who never make compromises on quality or design, Danish furniture brand Wehlers also aims to shake up the industry with a range of green, ethically made sustainable hospitality furniture and products for modern homes. The company’s motto is “Furniture for Good”, which provides a hint to the founders’ shared values. As part of the company’s intelligent furniture eco-system and circular economy, all Wehlers products feature either up-cycled or recycled materials. Or both. After all, this is Europe’s first certified B-corporation furniture brand.

For its first collection, the company used plastic ocean waste, removing fishing nets from the environment and transforming them into modern, elegant furniture for living spaces. Of course, the sustainable hospitality furniture and designs for residential interiors are also completely recyclable at the end of their life cycle. Which means that the original waste never re-enters nature. The sustainable and ethical manufacturing process is crucial for the brand. “Actually we don’t think the world needs more designed furniture. However, we do think that it needs more options for conscious consumption,” explain founders Henrik Holm and Maria Fryd Wehler. “Our place in history depends on the choices we make,” they add.

The Wehlers collection includes the minimalist Obvious daybed, which features recycled fishing nets and ocean waste as well as premium Kvadrat upholstery. Modern and versatile, the Alternative dining chairs bring together recycled steel, re-used veneer, and ocean plastic waste. Local Danish craftsmanship completes the company’s inspiring eco-system.
