We have some good news for extreme minimalist living fans and for those who wish to take the plunge and transform their home into a haven of refined simplicity. NYC-based studio Yonsei, founded in 2016 by industrial designer Jonathan Yoshida Rowell, has a striking furniture and accessories collection. The range not only features ultra-clean lines and elegant silhouettes, but also boasts natural materials and a dash of storytelling. As the studio explains, the designs are “born of tradition, connecting us with our rituals, our surroundings, and the moments found in memory.”

Despite their contemporary look, some of the designs defy time and seem to resemble ancient objects or totems. The marble Hon side table has a monolithic design, while the wall hook Ahoy has a sculptural appearance. The collection also includes the stylish High Low Chair and the bar stool Jueki. Available in timeless black, the products also come with golden brass accents to add a touch of glamor to extreme minimalist living. Photographs © Yonsei.
