Flowing shapes and the lightness of thin, bent plywood give the Wave Chair an elegant expression.
With a design driven by technology and manufacturing processes, the Wave Chair strikes a memorable impression at first glance. Elegant, almost fluid shapes curve to create the ergonomic backrest, with the seat also enhancing comfort with a rounded edge. Architect and designer Arseny Brodach looked to the process of hot-pressing wood in a mold for inspiration, resulting in a sculptural dining chair that maximizes both visual impact and relaxation.
The Wave Chair features a core of bent beech wood, which creates the sturdy inner structure. Sustainable, engineered veneer forms the outer layer, giving the chair not only extra durability and strength but also a warm, organic expression. The chair comes in 4 colors with variations in both shade and texture. Options include oak and cherry wood with lighter hues as well as the more intense rosewood and dark rosewood.
Arseny Brodach designed the Wave Chair to be as practical as it is beautiful. Made with a two-part construction, the chair allows for easy assembly with a hex key. Bolts and a custom connector keep the two sections firmly in place. Finally, this stylish dining chair comes flat-packed in a compact box, enabling easy transportation and storage while minimizing packaging. Photography© Olga Oganeva.
