Inspired by both Steve McQueen’s ‘Great Escape’ and the colors of the woodland surrounding the Officine Sbrannetti workshop, this custom BMW R100GS scrambler makes a lasting impression with its elegance, natural colors and subtle vintage charm.
Named ‘Elegant Escape’, the bike is designed to be both slender and fierce at the same time, with various details illustrating the Italian workshop’s penchant for traditional craftsmanship and eye for good design. The seat is custom-made by LRLeather and boasts a warm brown tone that beautifully complements the muted green and brushed silver tones of the Kawasaki tank. The latter also features a leather strap bearing the name and number of the motorcycle on the top and the workshop’s emblem on one side. At the rear, the plate holder was modified from a front section and welded in place, just under the new LED stop light. Other additions include a Mass Moto exhaust system, new electronic instruments and two front lights. Completed with an impressive attention to detail and a tastefully understated design, this BMW R100GS proves that elegant simplicity is timeless and the perfect way to balance the fierceness of a scrambler.
