Serene, elegant, and connected to nature, Casa Azimute offers the ultimate vacation getaway experience. Perfect for those who love design and peaceful natural landscapes, the house complements its heritage with some stylish contemporary design while also opening up the rooms to the gorgeous surroundings. Perched on a hill, the minimalist building provides views over Portugal’s medieval city of Estremoz and the pastoral landscape. The name is derived from Arabic and means “road”, “direction”, or “point on the horizon”; in this case, it may refer to finding oneself, away from the noise of the city and modern living.

The four rooms and two suites all boast artisanal tiles sourced locally, with colors and patterns specific to each room. The decor also features modern cement floors, stylish furniture, and hand-woven rugs in a refined blend of traditional and contemporary. Some of the rooms also have an outdoor bed, allowing guests to admire the spectacular beauty of the night’s sky. The large swimming pool and outdoor lounge area offer the perfect opportunity to unwind and relax, while the various activities that include hiking and mountain biking, provide a counterpoint to the estate’s tranquillity.
