Born in 1976 in Massalombarda, Italy, Marcantonio Raimondi Malerba was a curious and creative child who brought his imagination and concepts to life through play, daydreaming and exploration – an approach he maintains to this day. After graduating from the Art Institute and the Academy of Fine Arts, he immediately started working in the theater scene and collaborated with architecture studios. Art and design combine in the designer’s work which also features a recurring theme of exploring the relationship between Man and Nature and a penchant for presenting ideas in a pure, minimalist form. As a result, the products created by Malerba stand on the line between object and artwork, with philosophical concepts and subtle irony embedded in their design. Marcantonio Raimondi Malerba has worked for over 10 years with public or private organizations, creating striking work where Man, Nature and Object are brought together in surreal designs.
