A design that strikes gold.

The owner of this Ducati Monster 1200 R loved the way Munich-based Diamond Atelier had previously customized his other bike. On that project, the team had complete freedom, so he entrusted them with this gem to make it one-of-a-kind. With free reign and a single demand – to make the Ducati Monster cafe racer better – the workshop went to work. Some parts didn’t require any changes. For example, the iconic tank and the front fender. The front headlight also stayed. At the rear, the team built an entirely new tail using CAD software as well as 3D printing techniques. The bespoke tailpiece and the hand-stitched leather seat rest on a custom subframe.

The bike features a custom top triple clamp and CNC-machined clip-ons, trimmed to fit the headlight perfectly. LEDs at the rear double as taillights and turn signals. Other new features include the CNC-machined rear license plate holder, clutch, and brake reservoirs, as well as engine covers. Ducati Performance levers, a Remus exhaust, and Ducabike rearsets complete the list. For the finishing touch, Diamond Atelier chose an olive green and gold color palette. And the glamour is authentic here. Gold leaf and 24k gold on the frame make this Ducati Monster cafe racer a real gem. Photographs© Lukas Magerl.
