Huschang Pourian & Sonia Chow, the eclectic minds of ChowPourianLab have designed a street bicycle with equal parts finesse and power in the Elektrokatze. With a sturdy, steel frame and 20” wheels, the bicycle was built not only to thrive on pavement and gristle alike, but also to afford generous speed and sharp control. A shorter, tighter set of handlebars and a fixed-gear system allow for a quick simplicity that mirrors the aesthetics of the bike itself—sleek and strong, utilitarian yet stylish, bold black against lightning-bolt white. The Elektrokatze’s steel body is one that’s not only appealing, but handcut, welded, and painted with concise skill, punctuated with its mischievous kitten watermark.
