Located in Nortown area in Toronto, Canada, the Patio House by Reza Aliabadi (RZLBD) is a minimalist two story wooden structure house. The building maintains a presentable facade for the residential street as well as well controlled sun exposure from the west despite being located in a corner lot. The patio acts as a buffer space between the west side and the interior space of the house allowing natural light to travel into the house and creating a visual connection between the interior divisions, also it creates an in between situation in severe weather conditions of winter and summer times.
