The well-known Schindelhauer minimalist design and high-end engineering, now packed in a series of lightweight, gravel bikes that can go anywhere.

Since its founding in 2009, German company Schindelhauer has been designing and making urban bikes that provide a perfect balance between sophisticated engineering, minimalist aesthetics, function, and innovation. Over the years, the Schindelhauer collection has amassed a range of prestigious design awards. Among them, the iF Design Award, the German Design Award and the Eurobike Award. For 2024, the company has introduced its latest model, one that preserves all of the signature features of a Schindelhauer bike, but takes riders from city streets to off-road tracks. Named the Wilhelm Gravel, this new bike series comprises four versions that enhance mobility beyond city limits.

Developed to offer more independence on two wheels, the Wilhelm Gravel bikes come with a lightweight aluminum frame and the brand’s preferred low maintenance Gates carbon belt drive. Both the drop-bar handlebars and the 28’’ Continental Trail tires ensure that each one of these gravel bicycles is a pleasure to ride on any terrain. Furthermore, the bikes’ geometry with a long head and top tube along with a low bottom bracket allows for comfortable touring. Mounting options provide an easy way to attach bags at the front and back.

To keep the design as minimalist as possible, the company routed all cables internally. The Wilhelm Gravel bikes come in four variants with Pinion Smart.Shift, Pinion C-Line 12-speed, Rohloff 14-speed and Shimano Alfine Di2 11-speed gears. Cyclists can also customize their bikes with mudguards, a luggage rack, and their preferred lighting setup, to name a few. Finally, the colors. Apart from the standard Alu Pure, Garnet Red, Midnight Blue, and Cream White, Schindelhauer also offers the bikes in Apricot or Moss Green, on request.
