Swedish brand Nocs is best known for their top-of-the-line audio products – for now; recently debuted by the company’s nest division, Nocs Atelier, this minimalist watch maintains their signature aesthetic as it pushes the boundaries of design possibility. Despite its almost effortless appearance, Seconds is the result of a careful and imaginative creative process that aims to challenge the wearer’s perception of time. A stunning black 40mm sandblasted steel 316 case houses the Japanese quartz movement and a PVD-coated, matte finish dial. Second hands in either silver or rose gold bring an unlikely attention to the supposedly insignificant measure; practical and conceptual at the same time, Nocs’ clever design invites the consumer “to view time through [his or her] own unique lens.” On top of its bold appearance and statement-making interface, 5 ATM water resistance, durable construction, and a sensible Black Nylon Nato strap ensure the elegant design will last for years to come. At Nocs Atelier, “product development isn’t a chore, it’s an exploration, a chance to discover a new way of doing something, a novel way of expressing our vision.” The brand’s ability to transform such a classic product exemplifies their truly innovative spirit …and we can’t wait to see where it will take them.
