A sustainably made task chair that brings more elegance to workspaces.
Designed and produced by British furniture manufacturer Boss Design, Sia is a stylish task chair that aims to make home offices and workspaces more elegant, vibrant, and welcoming. This ergonomic chair is also a good example of the ways modern companies follow sustainable design principles. The slim silhouette and trimmed down build allowed Boss Design to create a refined task chair that also requires less materials to produce. Made with a light carbon footprint, Sia features over 70% recycled materials and is 99% recyclable. Additionally, the parts come together without the use of adhesive. This makes components easier to detach and change if needed, prolonging the life of the product and reducing waste.
In terms of ergonomics, Sia shines with a curved backrest that provides excellent support. The chair also has an intuitive weight-balance mechanism with tension adjustment, along with lumbar, seat depth, and seat height adjustment systems. Sia comes in a range of materials and colors. The recycled mesh back comes in over two dozen colors and in different textures, including “fizz” and “cloud textured” patterns. Colors for the back frames and lumbar support range from Black and Oyster White to Copper Brown and Reed Green. Likewise, the seat comes in a range of fabric colors and textures. The five-star base has black castors as standard, with eco, silver, and polished castors also available. Boss Design offers optional multifunctional armrests with padding.
