The Tape Armchair

An ultra-comfortable lounge chair made with a conveniently modular design.

Designed by Radice Orlandini designstudio for Baleri Italia, the new Tape Armchair maximizes both style and comfort with an elegant, flowing silhouette. It’s a perfect choice for living rooms and cozy lounge spaces. While bold and distinctive, the design easily blends into contemporary interiors. Tape features two curved volumes that bend to form the seat and backrest, without any other visible frame or structure elements. As a result, it has a clean, minimalist look that emphasizes the gracefulness of the curved forms. The soft upholstery and plush padding, the lounge chair enhances seating comfort further. At the junction between the two curved elements, the padding flattens under pressure as the chair softly bends.

Underneath the lounge chair, a third element transforms it into a modular design. The user can leave this third cushion perfectly nested under the seat when not needed. However, the user can also easily move it and use it according to different needs. For example, the third cushion can become a convenient side table. As a footrest, the third element transforms Tape into an ultra-comfortable chaise-longue. Versatile and refined, the Tape Armchair brings a sculptural accent into living spaces while also making them more comfortable than ever before. Photographs© Baleri Italia.
