Just simply metal and wood, the V&A chair is a fusion of two contrasting elements that work together in a surprisingly harmonic way. Designer Tomas Alonso has created this series of chairs made up of a single tube of folded coated steel and an ash wood seating surface that is supported by recycled wood. These atypical chairs have a light and unbalanced nature that comes from their vivid contrast of materials as well as their curvilinear symmetry.
