Introducing a new brand of American whiskey.

Here’s some great news for whiskey lovers. Streetwear and footwear designers Jon Buscemi and James Bond have partnered to launch a new brand, Wolves Whiskey. Apart from collaborating with master distiller Marko Karakasevic on the first collection, the duo also brought some cool style into the mix. Which turned out even better than it sounds. Crafted in Northern California, the First Run series has a limited run of only 898 bottles. The special 106 proof blend is double distilled in a rare Alambic pot still brought over to California from Cognac, France.

First Run features a trio blend. A whiskey distilled from craft Stout beer and aged in French oak barrels for eight years, a distillate from craft Pilsner beer, aged in New American oak barrels for five years, and a spicy Rye whiskey that gives the blend the perfect finishing touch. Lightly filtered using the mineral-rich water of Sonoma County, the whiskey has a complex flavor profile. The notes range from sweet and citrus to nutmeg, vanilla, oak, and allspice with hints of dark chocolate.

The heavy, French-cut bottles do the whiskey justice, while the hand-wrapped Italian sheepskin leather label gives a new twist to the “wolf in sheep’s clothing” saying. The elegant leather label sits flush against the glass and boasts embossing as well as UV printing. A simple maple wood cork completes the design. Limited to 898 bottles, the First Run from Wolves Whiskey retails for $150. Photographs© Wolves Whiskey.
