Bubble Sofas and Ottoman by Sacha Lakic for Roche Bobois

View all 5 Photos

The Bubble Sofas and Ottoman are a bright French furniture collection by designer Sacha Lakic for Roche Bobois. Round from every angle, the living room furnishings are balloon-like in appearance and cushiony to the touch. Each piece is structured with a combination of wood, plywood, and particle board; padded with high-resilience foam; and covered with Techno 3D fabric in one’s choice of red, yellow, or gray. From a distance, the upholstery looks as though it is a solid color. Up close, however, it is revealed that there is a mesh layer, which adds even more geometric interest to the voluminous design.
