After launching the Volta bike with an impressively successful Kickstarter campaign, LA-based company Pure Cycles aims to repeat history. Dubbed “the most affordable smart cargo e-bike,” CAPACITA blends next generation tech and convenience. The e-bike has a range of handy features, making it the perfect solution for urban dwellers and commuters. Indeed, the electric bicycle comes with various practical details that take Pure Cycles closer to their goal of convincing more car drivers to switch to two wheels.
Made with a matte gray aluminum frame, CAPACITA is lightweight and also looks cool. It comes with a front basket and a generous rear rack for bags, luggage, and other cargo. Yes, that includes kids to offer an easy way to make a school detour before going to work. The racks can hold up to 175 lbs, which covers virtually any carrying need. Thanks to the high capacity Samsung 42V, 10Ah battery, the lightweight frame, and the 24’’ wheels – among other optimized features – the bike offers a range of 40 miles on eco-mode and 20 miles on power mode. Fat tires enhance comfort, while the adjustable stem provides an easy solution to find the perfect riding position. This convenient detail allows cyclists of 5′ and up to 6’4″ in height to ride in complete comfort.
Other important features include the integrated front and rear lights, dual disc brakes, Bafang 350W motor, and GPS anti-theft system. The built-in smart app also doubles as a health tracker. And to top it all off, CAPACITA comes with a lifetime warranty. Launched through Indiegogo, the CAPACITA bike is priced at $1,399 in the early bird package.
