Captivating Wood Sculptures by Dan Webb

View all 20 Photos

Dan Webb has manipulated lumber in the most unusual way. He has carved out curves and ripples that resemble draped material, limp shoe laces, the plushness of a pillow. He somehow depicts veins in forearms and the lightness of a helium balloon.  It is absolutely captivating to realize these sculptures were once hunks of wood. Artistically, unshaped logs host hooks with human limbs, as if the creation is chiseling itself to life.
