Seeing a historical object in a new light.

Designer Oliver Schick often uses traditional products and concepts to create modern designs. For the Facella floor lamp, he has drawn inspiration from the historical portable lanterns. Here, the familiar shape transforms into a contemporary form which creates a focal point in modern living spaces thanks to its powerful and bold design. Created for German brand dua, the Facella floor lamp combines a minimalist aesthetic and premium materials. The mouth-blown opal glass lamp has a matte surface, softening the light while also helping to create a warm atmosphere indoors.

The base and handle feature a high-quality leather sourced from Germany. Handcrafted according to traditional techniques used in saddle and bag making, the leather also boasts hand-sewn stitching. In the brown leather version, the seams have a lighter beige hue, while the black lamp comes with matching black stitching. Ideal for residential interiors, Facella’s refined good-looks complement any decor. The convenient portable design also allows the user to illuminate different areas of a house, when and as needed.
