Fri Lounge Chair by Jaime Hayon

View all 11 Photos

An extension of his previous work for Fritz HansenRoJaime Hayon’s new Fri Chair continues an established pattern of simplicity in design, use of high quality materials, and incredible comfort. Fri, however, is unique in that it encourages the user to engage with his or her environment, intended to make one feel comfortable yet approachable, cozy but not withdrawn. While Hayon’s playful design paired with the elegance of classic Danish style and craftsmanship make for a chair that is unique and appealing in its own right, one of the highlights of Fri is how it engages the user with the space rather than the form. Hayon desired to make visible the seemingly intangible “soul” that we associate with the idea home. Available in a wide array of subdued yet spirited colors, Fri can both enhance the appearance of a space as well as its comfort, a timeless design that is sure to last.
