The Hardy Sofa

A beautifully made sofa that pays homage to an iconic tailor.

Minimalist and elegant, the Hardy Sofa has a streamlined design that celebrates classic English tailoring. Designed for Spanish furniture brand Blasco&Vila by José Manuel Ferrero, founder of Valencia-based studio estudi(H)ac, the sofa has a refined and modern appearance. Its name references its source of inspiration. As the designer explains, “Hardy pays tribute, both in design and in its name, to one of the most “inventive, cunning and convincing tailors” from London’s Savile Row, Edwin Hardy Amies, who opened up a new chapter in the history of fashion by staging the first men’s runway shows at the Savoy Hotel in the British capital.”

Featuring simplified lines and a clean aesthetic, the sofa looks at home in any modern décor. At the same time, it brings a touch of classic style into contemporary interiors. The button details on the sides add a creative accent, while the layered fabrics enhance the sofa’s distinctive look. Like a well-tailored suit, Hardy highlights the craftsmanship as well as the beautiful lines of the design. Customization options for this modern sofa are available.
