Huygens Clocks

Displaying the passage of time in complete silence.

Celebrating pendulum inventor Christiaan Huygens, Amsterdam-based brand Huygens aims to create timepieces that combine innovation and creativity in versatile designs. Introducing Huygens clocks, a range of timepieces that stun both with their restrained aesthetic and with their ingenious build. All of the brand’s clocks feature an innovative silent quartz movement to show the time without any loud ticking noises. This makes each modern silent wall clock ideal for spaces that require extra peace and silence, such as bedrooms or home offices. Apart from their quiet movement, these wall clocks also have a ‘quiet’ design. Without unnecessary details and lettering, they not only offer optimal clarity, but also complement any interior.

The Huygens line includes three collections. The One Index wall clocks boast simple line markers for the hours and minutes, a black and white palette with a single red dot in the center, as well as thin hands. Likewise, the One Arabic timepieces boast the same slender hands and red dot accent alongside Arabic numerals. In the Tone collection, the brand explored the ‘ton sur ton’ effect, with stylish results. Featuring three monochrome clocks that range from white to gray and black, the collection complements its silent movement with a subtle design. Matte dials and glossy index prints create a play between textures. At the same time, the polished hour and minute markers appear clearly only in certain lighting conditions and viewing angles while almost disappearing in others. A playful twist on timepiece design, these Huygens clocks also propose a new way to relate to the passage of time.

All Huygens clocks meet the brand’s high quality standards. Designed in the Netherlands, all Huygens wall clocks feature recyclable materials. These include stainless steel cases and glass front covers as well as tough ABS backs. Plus, the 5-year warranties also ensure that every Huygens modern silent wall clock will stand the test of time.
